Emonicum is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation based in Slovenia that focuses on promoting active and healthy ageing, health literacy, and the reduction of health inequalities. Established in 2013, the organisation designs and delivers educational programmes, workshops, and research activities related to public health, disease prevention, and patient empowerment, with a strong emphasis on older adults and local communities, including those in rural areas. Through close cooperation with health professionals, public institutions, and community stakeholders, Institut Emonicum supports lifelong learning, independence, and wellbeing among seniors, contributing to more inclusive and age-friendly environments.
